Schools
MindMapping is being used in a fast increasing number of schools. For students, MindMapping is interesting and fun. They can draw during the classes, get a better overview of the subject, retain more information, etc. This is true to primary and secondary schools, special educational institutions, universities, business schools, etc.
For teachers, MindMapping is a brilliant tool to be used together with regular study material, to prepare classes, make plannings and even to transfer knowledge to the students.
OBS de Esdoorn in Elst (Gld) is very enthusiastic over the MindMapping fenomenon. They use MindMapping during classes and even in tests.

They have made a MindMap from 2 x 5 meters! Click here to view the photoalbum with an overview of MindMaps made.
This school is also the first in The Netherlands that works with the unique software from Tony Buzan: iMindMap. They have 70 computers at students and teachers' disposal to work with iMindMap since the school-year 2008/2009.
This is their what they have to say (text from the Dutch website of OBS de Esdoorn):

Mindmapping is becoming increasingly popular among our students and teachers. MindMapping is a fun, great way to organize your thoughts, to learn and develop new ideas. With MindMaps you use the creative side of your brain and that is very different than the way we are used to learning (mostly text, tables, schedules...).
It is impressive to see that children that wouldn't normally want nothing to do with long chuncks of text, now learn gladly and are really motivated.
There is a lot in common between MindMapping and the work with IPC. That is why we work behind the scene on making iMindMap available to everyone at our school. Next year, every digiboard in every class shall work with iMindMap!
For more information go to www.imindmap.nl, or ask teacher Ed for a free flyer."
